Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Test Systems Engineering Team in Buffalo, NY.

You will develop software for automated aerospace test systems used to validate flight control actuation systems and work at the intersection of hardware and software. You'll collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineers, design and validate test equipment, support customer demonstrations, and contribute to technical documentation while embracing Moog's values and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience programming in LabVIEW, Python, C/C++ and/or Simulink.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts across engineering teams.
• Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for automated aerospace test systems using tools such as LabVIEW, Python, C, and Simulink.
• Design, integrate, troubleshoot, and validate test equipment used to verify flight control actuation systems.
• Work closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Systems Engineers to solve technical challenges and optimize test system performance.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision‑making.
• Support the build and integration of test equipment, working alongside technicians and assembly teams.
• Serve as a technical liaison between engineering and production to resolve issues and ensure successful system implementation.
• Develop and execute formal verification testing, analyze results, and drive resolution of issues through completion.
• Support customer demonstrations, validation efforts, and test correlation activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
• Manage software configuration and version control throughout development and deployment.
• Deliver customer‑ready test systems that meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements.
