Job summary

Axiom Space seeks a bold Axiom Station Chief Systems Engineer to lead end-to-end systems engineering for the next generation of a commercial space station. You will own requirements development, architecture definition, interfaces, and risk management across modules and subsystems.

Applicants should have 15+ years in systems engineering for spaceflight programs, with strong communication skills and experience in V&V planning, across lifecycle stages from concept to disposal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Masters preferred.
• 15+ years in systems engineering across lifecycle.
• Experience with spaceflight programs or NASA human spaceflight preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Systems Engineering for Axiom Station, including requirement management, design integration, and risk management.
• Drive architecture definition, product breakdown, and interface control across modules and subsystems.
• Oversee verification and validation planning and execution; ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate internal and external integration, with governance over data, configuration and risk management.
