Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana to develop and evaluate space-based remote sensing systems for missile warning and defense missions. You will define system requirements and support analysis across hardware and software teams.

Ideal candidates have experience with infrared sensing, MBSE methods, and end-to-end system verification. On-site work and collaboration across the full lifecycle are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field; 6+ years experience, or graduate degree with 4+ years; or 10+ years without degree.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sensor system performance and develop algorithms for target detection and tracking.
• Support calibration planning and verification; define test plans and success criteria.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, modeling/simulation, and test teams across the development lifecycle.
