Job summary

Raytheon (RTX) in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead embedded software requirements, system integration, and MBSE efforts for missile programs. You will partner across Systems, Software, and Test teams to ensure first-time-right performance.

This onsite role emphasizes MBSE, requirements management, and collaboration with customer teams, with opportunities to influence verification, trade studies, and risk assessments. Strong C/C++/Python and tools experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in Systems Engineering.
• Experience in MBSE, Requirements Development/Management/Verification, or Integration and Test for software products.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain system and subsystem requirements specifications for embedded software, configurable logic and/or test systems software.
• Model the system and the system development and production processes using Cameo.
• Conduct Trade Studies and present results to customers.
• SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed.
• Work closely with the Systems, Software, Configurable Logic and Test teams on a variety of program technical tasks.
• Participate in technical conversations with the customer.
• Become a knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the software centric program capabilities.
• Help to onboard new team members, mentor, and guide them using core Systems Engineering skills.
