Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the IV&V team in Richardson, TX, supporting the NC3 SAOC program. You will apply systems engineering across the full development lifecycle, from customer needs through validation and qualification, leading complex technical discussions and delivering secure, cyber-resilient solutions.

You will mentor teams, develop system models, and drive architecture, trade studies, and design decisions to meet high-assurance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in writing requirements specifications or executing verification/qualification test events.
• Ability to travel domestically (10% of time).
• Degree in STEM + 8 years' experience or advanced degree + 5 years' experience.
• U.S. Top Secret clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, verification and validation for large complex systems.
• Mentor team members on specifications, interfaces and performance.
• Identify requirements and technical risk areas; apply SysML for system modeling.
• Lead technical proposal preparation and reviews with SMEs.
• Estimate, track and report technical, cost, schedule and risk performance.
