Job summary

RTX is seeking a systems engineer for on-site work in Huntsville, AL, supporting Missiles Defense and Air Defense programs. Active DoD Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship is necessary for eligibility.

The role focuses on architecture, requirements, modeling & simulation, radar and sensor systems, and engineering leadership across domain teams. You will contribute to programs like Patriot and LTAMDS as part of MISD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Missile Defense Systems or similar systems engineering.
• Advanced Degree in STEM preferred (MBSE).
• Model-based systems engineering experience (MBSE).
• Experience with system and sub-system requirements development and software architecture design.
• Knowledge of radar requirements and performance.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Java or DOORS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform Systems Engineering activities for key domains on programs.
• Contribute to Patriot, AMDC, LTAMDS, and other sensor/effector programs.
• Work as an individual contributor within MISD.
• Collaborate across domains to define architecture and interfaces.
• Support modeling, simulation, and evaluation of system performance.
