Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Radar Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL. The role is onsite, with DoD Secret clearance requirements and citizenship prerequisites to obtain an interim secret clearance.

The engineer will work with Agile teams to design, implement, and optimize radar software, write system-level documentation, and ensure engineering standards are followed. Familiarity with AI, DevSecOps, and TDMC is valued, and leadership roles are possible.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C++ development on a Linux or Unix based platform.
• Experience with radar systems and signal processing (pulse-Doppler, tracking, waveform processing).
• Experience with digital signal processing (FFT, filtering, pulse compression).
• Experience with RF systems and antenna concepts (phased arrays, beamforming).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued interim secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance in complex environments.
• Write and maintain documentation for software applications and designs.
• Participate in product reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
• Stay current with industry trends in AI, DevSecOps, and modern methodologies.
