Job summary

deciBel Research, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the IDT product team on the GMD Weapon System. The role focuses on requirements decomposition, system design, and integration/test within an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.

We expect a strong background in MBSE with SysML, DoD systems, and hands-on leadership of cross-functional teams. Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years of related work experience; or a Master's degree with at least 1 year.
• Strong MBSE, SysML, and system modeling tool experience.
• Experience with architecture development and requirements allocation.
• Proven ability to lead teams and mentor staff on complex projects.
• Experience with Agile development and Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements decomposition, system design, and integration & test.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop verification plans and track verification status.
• Interface with customers and manage subcontractors as needed.
