Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking an experienced professional to provide application support for critical information systems used by Electrical Engineering and Control Centers.

The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining databases, displays, and applications for ADMS processes. The candidate will collaborate with engineering, R&D and operations to coordinate projects, develop automation scripts, and ensure cyber security compliance, while

Qualifications

Technical experience in operations, engineering, system operations, or information systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with customers, support staff and management.
Well organized, detail oriented and able to handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in teams and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Familiarity with database structures and queries.
Proficiency with one or more OO languages (Java, VB, C#, Python).
Knowledge of PI Historian, Oracle, ODBC, MS-Access, or MS-SQL.
Experience reading and manipulating flat files; Python scripting; real time control system applications; data analytics; GIS.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and update applications to manage historical SCADA/DSCADA data.
Understand electric delivery systems and distribution automation devices.
Collaborate with users to define enhancements and development of new systems.
Coordinate with project teams, external agencies, contractors, and internal departments.
Manage vendor installations and test technology upgrades.
Develop scripts and APIs to automate processes and data sharing.
Test and troubleshoot systems; plan data sharing across departments and apps.
Monitor and maintain Cyber Security standards and patch management.
Mentor and lead lower band team members in Systems Engineering.
