Qualifications

• Strong systems integration and production support in utility/critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Support ADMS platforms across configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Analyze requirements to develop technical solutions and implementation strategies.
• Perform configuration, validation, and deployment across dev/test/production environments.
• Troubleshoot OT applications and perform root-cause analysis to drive corrective actions.
• Review designs and deployment activities for cybersecurity and operational standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced ADMS System Engineer to support the implementation, enhancement, integration, and ongoing support of Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) platforms within a utility operations environment in NJ.

This role will partner with operations teams, business stakeholders, application owners, and technical resources to ensure reliable system performance and successful delivery of technology solutions supporting mission‑critical operations. Responsibilities may include new implementations, platform upgrades, systems integration, troubleshooting, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the full lifecycle of ADMS platforms, including configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Analyze business requirements and operational needs to develop technical solutions and implementation strategies.
• Perform system configuration, validation, and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, and integration issues while performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Review technical designs, implementation plans, configurations, and deployment activities to ensure adherence to operational and cybersecurity standards.
• Support software releases, upgrades, patches, and defect remediation efforts.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability to maintain operational reliability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Administer and support Windows and Linux environments associated with operational technology systems.
• Work closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, and operations teams to support integrated solutions.
• Configure workstations, servers, applications, and supporting system components as required.
• Interpret and work with network architecture diagrams, interface specifications, server infrastructure documentation, firewall configurations, and system topology diagrams.
• Support end users with application access, configuration, and operational issues.

Required Experience

• Hands‑on experience supporting, implementing, or maintaining Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS).
• Experience integrating utility operational systems including:
  • SCADA
  • Outage Management Systems (OMS)
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Distribution Management Systems (DMS)
  • Historian platforms
  • ICCP integrations
  • Enterprise data interfaces
• Strong experience with systems integration and production support within utility, energy, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience troubleshooting complex operational technology applications and performing root cause analysis.
• Understanding of utility operational workflows and control center technologies.
• Experience supporting highly available, mission‑critical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ADMS implementation projects and ongoing operational support.
• Experience working within virtualized environments such as VMware vCenter.
• Familiarity with network communications, interface protocols, and infrastructure technologies supporting utility operations.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools, including Power BI or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices within operational technology environments.
