Job summary

Miltope Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer to drive technical excellence across rugged defense products. You will shape system design, integration, and lifecycle support for DoD and aerospace customers.

The role emphasizes architecture, requirements traceability, and cross‑functional collaboration with hardware, software, and operations teams. A clearance capability and experience in defense environments are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8–15 years in defense/aerospace hardware environments.
• Experience leading system architecture and design reviews.
• Experience with lifecycle management and manufacturing readiness.
• Knowledge of MIL-STDs, AS9100D/ISO 9001, ITAR/export compliance, cybersecurity obligations.
• Experience with ERP/PLM systems (BOMs, drawings, revision control, ECNs).
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system architectures, requirements, and interface specifications.
• Manage and trace customer, system, subsystem, and verification requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead system-level design, integration, and validation of rugged computing and embedded electronics solutions.
• Support trade studies, technical reviews, and risk assessments for robust designs.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in engineering activities across concept to sustainment and end‑of‑life cycles.
• Support documentation, BOMs, and technical data packages.
