Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer in Illinois to lead requirements engineering, validation & verification, and systems integration across hardware and software domains. The role emphasizes quality, documentation, and collaboration with distributed teams.

You will design and maintain infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive post-release improvements while aligning with project timelines and standards. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or CS or related field.
5–7 years of engineering experience.
Experience developing, documenting, reviewing, or managing technical requirements.
Experience with software and/or system validation and verification.
Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases.
Experience validating embedded systems, HMI applications, controls, or similar electronic systems.
Familiarity with software development and testing processes.
Experience troubleshooting complex system and software issues.
Familiarity with test automation and scripting, preferably Python.
Familiarity with embedded software algorithms, controls, and electronic systems.
Strong technical documentation skills; attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with quality focus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain systems infrastructure—hardware, software, OS, and network components.
Implement system enhancements to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
Analyze, modify, test, and maintain systems to support business needs.
Lead system configuration and integration across platforms and environments.
Monitor and support installed systems for high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot complex system and network issues with root‑cause analysis.
Develop automation scripts to streamline operations and data collection.
Maintain system documentation, including installation guides, configuration notes, and change logs.
Manage backups and recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and disaster readiness.
Ensure system security through access controls, firewalls, patches, and compliance with standards.
Integrate new technologies into existing systems and lead design improvements post-release.
Act as technical interface with customers and internal teams, providing analysis, support and communication on system requirements and issues.
Lead engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality procedures, timelines, and performance expectations.
Contribute to moderately complex project aspects, working both independently and collaboratively
