Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a Systems Engineer to provide operational support for a large infrastructure, including 700+ VMs and Microsoft 365 services, in a remote role with occasional travel. The candidate will manage tickets, perform patching, and support migrations of up to 600 users.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in systems and infrastructure support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange).
• VMware troubleshooting and console access.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, file services, DHCP, and DNS.
• Understanding of backup methodologies.
• Willingness to travel 1–2 weeks, with travel primarily in January/February.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support by managing tickets through ServiceNow.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange.
• Perform VMware troubleshooting and access virtual machine consoles.
• Manage Active Directory, file shares, DNS, and DHCP.
• Handle server patching and maintenance windows.
• Support backup methodologies and perform restores as needed.
• Participate in acquisition and migration projects, including user migrations up to 600 users.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for documentation and project tracking.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, approximately one week every seven weeks.
