Job summary

Phaxis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support and maintain a large enterprise infrastructure. The role focuses on Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Exchange, SCCM/MECM, and Citrix to ensure high availability and performance.

You will develop PowerShell automation, perform server builds and lifecycle management, and collaborate with network, security, and service desk teams on major projects and disaster recovery initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of enterprise systems engineering or infrastructure experience.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory troubleshooting and design skills.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and modern virtualization management.
• Experience with Exchange, SCCM/MECM, and Citrix in large-scale environments.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities and automation
• Solid knowledge of enterprise networking, security, backup, and DR concepts.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, trusts, and replication.
• Oversee VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, virtual networking, and storage.
• Support Microsoft Exchange and enterprise mail infrastructures.
• Administer SCCM/MECM for deployment, patching, OS deployment, and endpoint mgmt.
• Support and troubleshoot Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
• Perform server builds, patches, hardening, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot complex infra issues and provide escalation-level support.
• Participate in migrations, upgrades, DR initiatives, and projects.
• Collaborate with networking, security, app, and service desk teams.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in change, incident, and problem processes.

• Knowledge of enterprise networking, security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting large, highly available enterprise environments.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Microsoft, VMware, or Citrix certifications.
• Experience with Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Veeam.
