Job summary

Strongbridge LLC is seeking a Tier 3 System Engineer in the Washington, DC area. The role leads Tier 1/2 technicians, coordinates IT operations, and ensures day-to-day ticket closure while managing extensive IT infrastructure including O365, Intune, AVD, SCCM, Hyper‑V, AWS, and Azure.

The candidate will work in a federal agency environment, develop policy and SOP documentation, and drive security compliance with a strong focus on infrastructure management and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
• 15 years of experience in system engineering or IT operations.
• Experience leading Tier 1/Tier 2 teams and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier 1 & Tier 2 helpdesk technicians and provide technical guidance.
• Manage IT infrastructure including backups, O365, virtual environments, and cloud services.
• Use ServiceNow for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.
• Support disaster recovery, security compliance, and policy documentation.
• Supervise software/patch management tools such as SCCM.
• Develop automated software distribution, OS deployment, reporting, and logging.
