Job summary

Versa Networks is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer in the United States to help customers evaluate, adopt, and expand our Secure SD-WAN, SSE, and SASE solutions. The role focuses on pre-sales technical support, advisory engagement with CIOs/CISOs, and enabling partners with product evolution.

The ideal candidate has deep WAN/security knowledge, proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/OpenStack/VMware), and hands-on PoC experience. Travel around 30% is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
• Knowledge of Cloud security solutions (FWaaS, DLP, CASB, RBI, malware prevention).
• Knowledge of proxies, SSL/TLS, VPNs, Active Directory/SAML/LDAP, threat prevention.
• Understanding of SASE architectures and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Familiarity with WAN technologies (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, NAT).
• Experience in large-scale enterprise networking and security solutions.
• Knowledge of Linux administration.
• 30% travel requirement.
• Bonus: cloud vendor tech (AWS/Azure/OpenStack/VMware) and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical support to achieve sales targets.
• Establish trusted advisory role with strategic customers and partners.
• Enable and update partner network on product evolution.
• Conduct workshops and product demonstrations for evaluations.
• Perform hands-on PoC tests for network designs and deployments.
