Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer V to lead systems engineering efforts for defense, space and national security programs. The role focuses on MBSE, system architecture, and verification planning.

You will collaborate with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC and test teams across programs, ensuring traceability, risk mitigation and formal reviews. A strong SE background with MBSE tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10+ years experience or Master’s with 8+ years; equivalent experience accepted.
• Deep familiarity with MDA processes, CDRL development, and SE lifecycle standards.
• Expert-level proficiency in requirements management tools (DOORS).
• Deep knowledge of SE lifecycle standards (INCOSE SE Handbook, MIL-STD-499).
• Significant experience applying MBSE using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw).
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority and mentor junior systems engineers.
• Oversee requirements definition and traceability across program levels.
• Lead system architecture development and verification planning.
• Coordinate with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC, and test teams for system performance.
• Manage system-level risk identification and mitigation.
• Coordinate baseline management and formal reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Provide MBSE leadership and align digital engineering toolchain.
• Serve as liaison with customer and suppliers on requirements flowdown and issue resolution.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on processes and standards.
