Job summary

SciTec seeks a Systems Engineer to advance software-defined sensor data processing pipelines for the GBRD modernization program. You will drive requirements, architecture, MBSE artifacts, and verification planning for a software-centric radar data backend. Leverage Kubernetes-based deployments, collaborate across radar/algorithm teams, cybersecurity, and government technologists.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field relevant to systems engineering.
5+ years in systems engineering for sensor systems or real-time software pipelines.
Experience creating architectures, requirements, and interfaces for data-processing systems.
Familiarity with high-throughput sensor data processing and MBSE tools.
Strong communication skills for cross-functional teams.
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop and trace requirements for software processing and data ingest pipelines.
Define software architecture for Kubernetes-based deployments and modular interfaces.
Create and maintain MBSE artifacts (SysML diagrams and ICDs).
Plan integration, verification, and system-in-the-loop activities.
Coordinate across radar, signal processing, cybersecurity, and government stakeholders.
Identify risks and support configuration management within a digital repository.
Prepare technical communication artifacts for reviews and design meetings.
