Job summary

Kratos Defense (Kratos Unmanned Systems) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to lead full lifecycle systems engineering for radar and hypersonic programs in aerospace and defense. You will develop requirements, architectures, and MBSE models using Cameo, lead technical reviews, and collaborate with customers and project teams.

The role requires DoD clearance (or ability to obtain) and 11–20 years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and leadership skills to drive

Qualifications

• Experience developing system requirements, designs, and verification documentation.
• Experience in Defense/Aerospace industries is required.
• Experience in radar systems and/or hypersonics is desired; unmanned aircraft systems is a plus.
• Proficiency with MBSE and Cameo is highly desired.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer and stakeholder requirements, decompose and allocate to subsystems.
• Develop system architectures for new and existing systems.
• Conduct trade studies and design research to determine optimal requirements and architecture.
• Create system/subsystem design documentation such as interfaces and schematics.
• Develop and execute system verification and testing plans.
• Lead or support reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and prepare proposals.
• Review teammates' work and contribute to test plans and reports.
• Travel to customer locations as needed (<25%).
