Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Product Owner to join the Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, supporting the Leidos Common Automation Platform (L-CAP). This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, with location in Egg Harbor Township, NJ or commutable to Gaithersburg, MD or Eagan, MN.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a degree or equivalent combined with 6+ years for a Master’s
• Experience with Agile methodology, principles, and tools
• Experience in the role of Agile Product Owner with backlog ownership and acceptance of work

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the backlog for one or more Agile teams, sequencing work to deliver the right functionality
• Review program requirements and FAA standards to derive acceptance criteria
• Decompose platform and mission needs into testable Agile features and stories with clear acceptance criteria
• Maintain traceability from requirements to verification evidence for compliance
• Engage stakeholders to identify use cases aligned with workflows and validation readiness
• Define PI objectives, participate in PI planning and backlog refinement, accept completed work
• Capture design decisions and risk assessments to enable traceability
• Prepare and review technical documentation and interface definitions
• Coordinate with Release Train Engineer, Product Management, systems engineering, and T&E to align delivery
• Lead and participate in structured reviews and inspections
