Job summary

NAES Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Dogwood Energy Facility near Pleasant Hill, MO. The role focuses on technical ownership of controls, instrumentation, and automation within a 2x1 combined-cycle setup, driving reliability and performance improvements.

You will analyze system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and lead RCA investigations while supporting outages, plant startups, and major maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• Extensive experience providing engineering support for control, instrumentation, and automation systems in power/industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, and turbine and generator controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of control, instrumentation, and automation systems supporting combined-cycle operations.
• Lead RCA investigations and develop corrective actions for equipment failures and system deficiencies.
• Support plant startups, shutdowns, outages, and major maintenance, including work scopes and testing.
