Job summary

GovCIO seeks an SME Systems Engineer for the US Coast Guard, located in Kearneysville, WV. Hybrid work arrangement. You will drive architecture, analysis, and integration across edge hardware and core systems, delivering secure, scalable software solutions for mission critical PACS modernization.

Responsibilities include leading SEB, drafting ITSRs, performing SE TRs, and enforcing DoD identity/security standards while collaborating with Product Delivery and Capability Development teams.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required.
• Experience designing software solutions and APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Mastery of UAF/DoDAF models and SysML in Cameo.
• Experience enforcing federal identity and security standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication for technical briefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEB with rigorous software engineering design.
• Draft ITSRs from capability/mission needs and requirements.
• Perform SA and SE TRs within the CSDP pathway.
• Guide full lifecycle delivery across requirements, reviews, testing.
• Define interfaces and data exchange; plan integrations.
• Enforce FICAM/NIST PKI and OSDP security policies.
• Model enterprise solutions using UAF/DoDAF/SysML in Cameo.
• Recommend optimizations and roadmaps for mission needs.
