Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to manage, install, configure, test, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure at a Tampa location. You will oversee all IT professionals, lead at a geographically separated site, and ensure high availability of systems and services.

The role requires 10+ years of related experience, DoD 8570 certification (Security+ or higher), and expertise with RedHat/OpenShift, Windows Server, SQL, Ansible, and SANs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience with RedHat Linux based servers and OpenShift.
• Experience with Windows servers, SQL, SCCM and Active Directory.
• Experience with Ansible for configuration/deployment.
• Experience with SANs; NetApp preferred.
• DoD 8570.01 certification required – CompTIA Security+ CE or higher.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Site Lead for IT professionals at the location.
• Manage operations at a geographically separated site.
• Have full technical knowledge of all phases of systems engineering.
• Analyze complex information and take appropriate actions to resolve problems.
• Guide system development and implementation planning and testing.
• Develop technical documentation and system designs.
• Deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.
• Ensure technical integrity of work and deliverables.
