Job summary

University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a Systems Engineer III to provision, deploy, monitor, and optimize IT resources for the OBHW Platform. You will document configurations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers to ensure enterprise-grade solutions.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, experience with AWS, APIs, and deployment pipelines, and the ability to lead small teams and projects within a hybrid remote/on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with AWS cloud services in production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in backend software development and system architecture.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.
• Ability to lead technical delivery and make architecture decisions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effort to duplicate and stand up the BrainHealth Platform for the OBHW program.
• Own architecture decisions for the OBHW platform instance balancing performance and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain application services and APIs for the OBHW program.
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS.
• Lead go-live preparation including integration testing and production readiness.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
