Job summary

Akima Infrastructure Services (AIS) is actively seeking engineers and professionals to support the DOE mission at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas. Successful candidates will join AIS and work under Y-12 direction while meeting pre-employment requirements including background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities include chemical engineering project support, flowsheet development, analyses, and reports for the Lithium

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited bachelor's engineering degree.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience in process design for nuclear or chemical facilities.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q Clearance; DOE clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide process design support for the Lithium Processing Facility project at the Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant.
• Participate in designs from scope definition through conceptual and detailed designs.
• Develop flowsheets (P&IDs, process flow diagrams) and perform analyses and calculations.
