Job summary

Captivation Software in Maryland seeks a mid-level systems engineer to manage multiple agency machine rooms, a lab, and a comms room. The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph and a 15-year systems engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline required.
• Fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience.
• IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M

Responsibilities

• Maintain agency machine room spaces to standards and manage access lists.
• Monitor power, space and cooling; coordinate PSC upgrades with facilities.
• Collaborate with Facilities to plan hardware upgrades and room improvements.
• Assist with rack installation and decommissioning of servers and network gear.
• Process JIRA tickets for hardware replacements and coordinate vendor support.
• Daily emails and JIRA reviews; monitor rooms and follow up on alerts.
