Job summary
Jovian Concepts, LLC in Annapolis Junction, Maryland seeks a Systems Engineer L5 (Lab Manager) to lead multiple machine rooms and a lab environment supporting mission-critical systems. This full-time role requires managing access, power and cooling, and coordinating with facilities, vendors and customers to ensure uptime.
The ideal candidate has a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a MD polygraph, hands-on hardware experience from HP/Dell/Cisco Arista/Juniper, plus strong communication and team
Qualifications
- Experience in supporting an agency machine room and its operation.
- Experience in racking and cabling systems for deployments.
- Strong communication with team, leadership, facilities, and vendors.
- Experience creating/updating machine room drawings in Visio or similar.
- Hands-on support for hardware from HP, Dell, Cisco Arista, Juniper, etc.
- Experience supporting fiber and related testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple machine rooms and a lab environment.
- Maintain access lists and enforce agency PSC requirements.
- Coordinate with facilities for PSC upgrades and hardware needs.
- Assist customers with installation and decommissioning of racks and gear.
- Work JIRA tickets for hardware replacements and vendor support.
- Review daily alerts, monitor rooms, and ensure uptime.
