Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level systems engineer to manage multiple machine rooms, a lab and comms room supporting mission critical systems. You will work with facilities, vendors and customers to ensure space, power, cooling and cabling meet agency standards.

The role requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph, a Bachelor's degree, and significant hands-on hardware experience with HP, Dell, Cisco, Arista and Juniper. Direct hire only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in a related technical field.
• 15 years of systems engineering experience required.
• IAT Level II baseline certification per DoD 8570.01-M required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all machine spaces to agency standards and manage access lists.
• Monitor and enforce Power Space and Cooling requirements.
• Collaborate with Facilities for PSC upgrades to support hardware and customers.
• Assist with physical installation/decommissioning of racks, servers, and networks.
• Process JIRA tickets for hardware replacements and coordinate vendor support when under warranty.
• Start each day by reviewing emails, tickets, and monitoring alerts.
