Job summary

ActioNet, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer in San Diego, CA, to design, build, and validate the compute, storage, and network foundation for a Navy testbed modernization effort.

The role is hybrid with on-site work at a Government facility as required, and requires an active Secret clearance. The incumbent will own the infrastructure layer across two capability areas, from baseline assessment through architecture and pilot build, enabling AI-ready infrastructure and secure, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of infrastructure, systems, or network engineering experience.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Hybrid schedule with on-site support at a Government facility in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities

• Assess the existing testbed environment and define the pilot baseline.
• Own transport, network, and storage layers of the integration architecture.
• Drive pilot build, BOM, and configuration dependencies.
• Validate interoperability and resolve integration defects across vendor boundaries.
• Author infrastructure sections of scale-out roadmap and cost estimates.
