Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III to support critical naval software delivery operations for NIWC-PAC in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on building and maintaining secure pipelines across unclassified to Top Secret domains.

You will design and implement DevSecOps practices, containerized architectures, and interoperable systems for DDIL environments, working with Agile teams and ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university with 7+ years of full lifecycle software development for containerized, VM, and cloud-based architectures across multiple security domains.
• At least 4 years applying DevSecOps principles, including configuring automated security tests in CI/CD pipelines and working in DoD-like pipelines.
• At least 3 years engineering, integrating, and troubleshooting interoperable systems in DDIL, afloat/ashore PaaS, ACS, CHE, and FVEY environments plus current DoD TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain full lifecycle software delivery pipelines for containerized, VM, and cloud-based architectures.
• Implement and optimize DevSecOps automation across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret domains.
• Configure security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanners) as quality gates in CI/CD.
• Design and troubleshoot interoperable software for DDIL environments.
• Support software delivery to afloat and ashore PaaS environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements and government-mandated pipeline standards.
• Provide technical expertise for integration with allied partner systems and autonomous platforms.
