Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Programmer Engineer, III to support NIWC-PAC in San Diego, CA. You will design and maintain secure software delivery pipelines for Navy platforms across multiple domains, applying modern DevSecOps and containerized architectures.

You will work with Agile practices, SAFe program increments, and cross‑domain collaboration to deliver mission‑critical software for naval forces worldwide. A TS/SCI‑level environment experience is required.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated experience in software development utilizing Agile frameworks.
• Minimum two (2) years applying DevSecOps principles in regulated DoD environments.
• Minimum two (2) years coding, integrating, and maintaining resilient software architectures.
• Proven experience with DDIL environments, offline-first design, and bandwidth optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Navy ACS/CHE/OSA platforms and DoD PaaS environments.
• Experience integrating Cross‑Domain Solutions and secure data transfer.
• Familiarity with security gates, vulnerability remediation, and RMF/STIG compliance.
• Experience configuring automated security testing tools in CI/CD (SAST/DAST/SCA).
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance (current and in-scope).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure software delivery pipelines across multiple classification domains.
• Develop containerized architectures and modern DevSecOps practices for naval systems.
• Contribute to Agile core services, SAFe planning, and enterprise‑level coordination.
• Collaborate across DoD PaaS environments (ACS, CHE, OSA, Platform One) for deployments.
• Integrate security scanning results into development feedback loops and audits.
• Ensure DoD cybersecurity requirements are maintained in production systems.
