Job summary

Sabre Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer II to support naval software delivery for NIWC-PAC in San Diego, CA.

You will design and maintain secure software delivery pipelines across multi-domain environments, applying DevSecOps practices and defense standards. The role requires hands-on experience with Linux/Windows, virtualization, scripting, and Agile methodologies, with DoD clearance and extensive server administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum three years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering and continuous software sustainment using modern Agile methodologies.
• Minimum two years of operational enterprise server administration across heterogeneous OS environments.
• DoD 8140 Intermediate proficiency per DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (451).

Responsibilities

• Architectural oversight for mission-critical defense applications and system architectures.
• Maintain bidirectional requirements traceability across design, implementation and verification.
• Integrate software components in secure, multi-domain environments per defense standards.
• Provide tier 2/3 production support, incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Implement and monitor security controls; ensure DISA STIG compliance and IA requirements.
