Sabre Systems, LLC is recruiting a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Navy’s PMA-208 at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This role focuses on leading production assessments, implementing ECPs, and sustaining the BQM-177A target system for DT/OT and fleet training.

The candidate will coordinate with OEMs and government entities, manage requirements, and lead technical reviews while delivering manuals and data packages.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
• 7 years general engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant systems engineering experience.
• Understanding of core systems concepts (ECPs, flight clearance, risk management, requirements management, etc.).
• Demonstrated engineering expertise in a related area.
• Strong communication skills and some technical writing ability; MS Office proficiency.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher; US Citizen.

Responsabilités

• Providing technical guidance and decisions regarding production and upgrades to the platform, unique threat payloads, and government/ OEM coordination.
• Leading the team on technical projects and Engineering Investigations to resolve fielded system issues.
• Generating and releasing Interim Flight Clearances (IFCs) for Test & Evaluation and fleet operations.
• Performing Requirements Management and subsystem specification development.
• Developing Statements of Work and evaluating technical proposals for program execution.
• Managing system interfaces and coordinating configuration requirements.
• Preparing for and executing Technical Reviews and Interchange Meetings; supporting PMA-208 program reviews.
• Leading risk management and reporting via the NAVAIR tool and providing engineering analysis for ECPs.
• Producing operator’s manuals and data packages for fielded systems.
