Job summary

Noblis seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a DoD program in the Washington, DC area with strong modeling and simulation focus on weapons effects, vulnerability analysis, and SE process management. Onsite at Fort Belvoir, VA.

You will lead AoA and trade-off studies, develop SE master schedules, and apply uncertainty analysis to quantify design margins. US citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance are required; prior DoD government contracting experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive systems engineering experience with Modeling and Simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with conventional weapons effects models and simulation toolsets in defense context.
  • Experience with vulnerability analysis, AoA, gap analysis, and trade-off studies within a DoD/government framework.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vulnerability analysis and exploitation assessments for system performance and survivability.
  • Lead and execute AoA and trade-off analyses to inform design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain the SE process framework and master schedule aligned with milestones.
  • Perform gap analyses and propose solutions to close gaps in modeling/simulation capabilities.
  • Apply uncertainty analysis to quantify design margins and communicate limits to stakeholders.
  • Assess predictive capabilities of design margins and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Serve as cross-program integrator ensuring technical coherence and schedule adherence.
