Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support the Maritime Acquisition program and PMS 408. The candidate will apply MBSE using DODAF, NFARM, SysML/UML, and INCOSE guidance to develop architecture, requirements, and test artifacts.

On-site in Virginia, this role requires an active Secret clearance, a relevant engineering degree, and DoD SE experience. Competitive USD compensation ranges are provided with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science (or 8 years related experience).
• Minimum 5 years of DoD acquisition lifecycle and SE process experience.
• Ability to work onboard Navy ships or other platforms for short testing periods.
• Onsite work up to 5 days per week; occasional telework may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support SE Technical Reviews (SETR) and milestone decisions; develop technical documents, drawings, and TDP components.
• Perform requirements analysis with traceability from requirements to system/subsystems, functionality, and test constructs.
• Develop and manage architecture frameworks using DODAF and NFARM; conduct RTVMs and PSPECs; assist test plans.
• Apply DoD/INCOSE guidance to manage systems, components, and enterprise architectures.
• Use modeling languages (SysML, UML, UAF) to conduct SE activities; utilize Navy IME, Cameo tools, and Teamwork Cloud for simulations.
