Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Weapons Effects Subject Matter Expert to contribute to high‑impact government contracts focused on conventional weapons effects and advanced modeling. This onsite role at Fort Belvoir, VA requires a strong physics background and hands‑on simulation experience working within a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should have a relevant degree, extensive modeling work with multiphysics environments, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable program

Qualifications

  • Requires a STEM degree (Physics, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering) with several years of multiphysics modeling and simulation experience.
  • Experiences with energetic/reactive materials and weapons effects are required.
  • Experience turning experimental results into validated predictive models and simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and analyze high-fidelity modeling and simulation for Weapons Effects Phenomenology assessments.
  • Perform kinetics modeling and IMEA to evaluate weapon effectiveness and target response.
  • Support HDBT analysis including functional defeat and vulnerability assessments.
  • Develop physics-based models for weapon-target interactions and effects.
  • Analyze simulation results and test data to assess damage mechanisms and mission effectiveness.
  • Conduct verification, validation, sensitivity, and uncertainty assessments.

Bachelor's degree in Physics or related STEM
