Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a 100% on‑site Systems Engineer‑Level 7 Consultant for Mission Modeling & Simulation in Chandler, AZ. You will define MS&A strategy, lead cross‑program mission analyses, and provide independent technical assessments to guide portfolio decisions.

Strong leadership and executive communication are essential. Responsibilities include mentoring teams, enabling digital engineering, and coordinating with stakeholders to shape CONOPS and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 16 years of related experience; or master’s degree with 14 years; or Ph.D. with 12 years
• Recognized subject‑matter expertise in mission‑level operations analysis and system‑of‑systems simulation
• Experience providing independent technical assessments and representing programs in reviews
• Ability to lead multiple teams and establish standards in advanced MS&A techniques
• Strong executive‑level communication skills for non‑technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise‑level MS&A strategy across programs and product lines
• Lead mission engineering and campaign analyses to inform roadmaps and investments
• Provide independent technical assessments and risk evaluations of architectures and concepts
• Engage with customers in reviews and external forums to shape requirements
• Advance MS&A tools, real‑time simulation, and digital engineering approaches
• Mentor teams and develop long‑term capability roadmaps for MS&A
