Job summary

VTG seeks a System Engineer III in Chantilly, VA to translate mission needs into verifiable system requirements and engineering products. You will coordinate across stakeholders to maintain alignment and support design trade studies.

The role requires TS/SCI with Poly and 10+ years of experience, with MBSE/SysML and DoDAF proficiency. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• MBSE/SysML, DoDAF proficiency and architecture framework familiarity.
• Experience leading systems engineering across lifecycle.
• 10+ years of experience in mission environments.
• TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering across lifecycle: requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, verification, baseline management.
• Own development of key systems engineering products (e.g., system requirements, ICDs, architecture packages).
• Drive cross-functional technical integration across software, infra, cyber, data, and test.
• Lead technical reviews and decision forums; develop trade studies and recommended solutions.
• Establish and enforce measurable, testable, traceable requirements and manage change impacts.
• Mentor junior/mid engineers and promote engineering best practices.
