Job summary

i3 in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Technical Management Division's Product Office, focusing on development, integration, and sustainment.

The ideal candidate will lead MBSE/MOSA efforts with SysML in Cameo, coordinate with stakeholders, and guide IPTs through lifecycle activities, including requirements management and technical data packages. U.S. citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• BS in aerospace, systems, or electrical engineering or related field.
• 12+ years experience; Master’s degree adds 10+ years.
• 2+ years experience in aviation products.
• Experience with MOSA principles and MBSE.
• Ability to translate user needs to prime contractors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure input sufficiency for trade studies and program docs (contracts, specs, SOW).
• Drive MBSE tools use and MOSA compliance.
• Provide SME on MOSA/MBSE using SysML in Cameo.
• Communicate with TMD, PM UAS/PEO, primes, suppliers, user reps, and Army airworthiness.
• Manage cost, schedule, and performance of SE activities across lifecycle.
• Prepare reports/briefings on status, analyses, findings, and recommendations.
• Oversee contracted work, lead IPTs, assess risk, develop mitigations.
• Responsible for project requirements and data package content management.
• Plan/lead status meetings with end customer and monthly reports.
• Manage system engineering team personnel.
• Implement modeling/simulation and conduct design reviews for UAS portfolio.
• Other duties as assigned.
