Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a senior systems engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team. You will own the requirements, safety, and verification baseline for a major vehicle area and help shape the architecture across inter-element seams.

You will lead requirements analysis and V&V activities, drive anomaly investigations, mentor engineers, and collaborate across IPTs with customers and partners. This role may involve relocation and travel; US citizens or permanent residents only.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, systems, or a related engineering field (M.S. preferred).
• 8+ years of systems engineering with ownership across requirements, safety, and V&V.
• Experience owning a major technical area or seams between areas as a Responsible Engineer with root-cause analysis.
• Deep fluency with SE tooling (Jama, Cameo, Windchill, DOORS) and mentoring能力 to set direction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior systems engineer and Responsible Engineer owning the requirements, safety, and verification baseline across a major vehicle area or inter-element seams.
• Lead requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation, shaping architecture decisions.
• Own the V&V approach for your area and lead anomaly investigations and corrective actions.
• Set the standard for dispositioning variances and deviations in your area.
• Develop lean, tool-driven processes for requirements, safety, and V&V adoption across teams.
• Act as the working-level interface across IPTs and with customers/partners as needed.
• Review deliverables for flaws and gaps beyond surface correctness.
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction for your scope.
