Blue Origin's Lunar Permanence team seeks a principal systems engineer who will act as the technical authority for system-level engineering across requirements, safety, and V&V. You will set standards, resolve cross-cutting issues, and lean into tool- driven methods to minimize manual effort at scale.

You will engage with NASA, defend requirements and safety positions, and mentor engineers while shaping process improvements across the SE lifecycle for the lunar lander program.

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace, systems, or a related engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of systems engineering with technical authority and leadership.
• Ownership across SE lifecycle — requirements, safety, integration, V&V.
• Track record as a go-to technical expert on a major system or program.
• Executive-level communication with senior leadership and customers.
• Fluency with SE tooling (Jama, Cameo, Windchill, DOORS).

Responsabilités

• Set technical standards and methods for requirement decomposition and verification.
• Lead system-level decisions across requirements, safety, and V&V.
• Carry cross-site responsibilities and represent positions to leadership and NASA.
• Act as a senior interface with NASA on requirements, verification and safety.
• Define lean, tool-driven workflows and minimize hand-offs.
• Mentor engineers to higher performance and broader scope.
