Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Principal Systems Engineer Level 5 in Sunnyvale to join our Marine Systems team and support rapid growth in launcher hardware for Navy platforms. The role emphasizes requirements development, system integration, verification, and interface management across complex subsystems.

You will work with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), DOORS, and create/update system specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 12 years of relevant experience; Master’s with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manage interfaces.
• Experience with system engineering tools and MBSE concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses.
• Support translation of requirements into hardware/software specifications.
• Lead internal/external reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR) and MBSE product refinement.
