Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Principal Systems Engineer (Level 5) to join the Marine Systems organization. The role focuses on launcher hardware for Navy platforms, with responsibilities from requirements to verification, design reviews, and MBSE collaboration.

The position requires a STEM degree with extensive experience, strong communication, and ability to work autonomously and in teams. Clearance and US citizenship are mandatory for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 12+ years, or Master's with 10+, or PhD with 8+ years.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with requirements and interface management.
• Familiarity with system drawings and documents (VCRM, DOORS).
• US citizen and able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation.
• Support conversion of customer requirements into hardware and software specs.
• Conduct functional/timeline analyses and trade studies.
• Create and update System/sub-system specifications and VCRMs.
• Maintain system drawings and documents (ICDs, arrangement drawings).
• Lead/co-lead internal and external reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, IRR, TRR).
• Support Model Based System Engineering products and diagrams.
