Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Staff Principal Systems Engineer Level 5 to join our Marine Systems team, focusing on launcher hardware for Navy platforms. You will lead systems engineering, requirements definition, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. You will work across DOORS, MBSE, and model-based engineering to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 12 years of experience; or Master’s with 10 years; or PhD with 8 years.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret them clearly.
• Experience with requirements and interface management (MBE/MBSE a plus).
• Familiarity with system drawings, DOORS, VCRM, and verification traces.
• US citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, system integration, verification and validation analyses.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware/software specifications within cost/schedule constraints.
• Create/update system/sub-system specs, DOORS artifacts, and traceability matrices.
• Maintain system drawings and interface control documents; participate in reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
• Support MBSE products and model-based system engineering deliverables.
