Job summary

SOFTSWISS is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to build, maintain, and evolve reliable infrastructure for our platform. You will design and manage a Kubernetes-based platform across bare-metal and cloud providers, implement GitOps pipelines, and ensure scalable, secure production environments.

Required experience includes 5+ years in system engineering or DevOps roles, strong Linux skills, Kubernetes and cloud proficiency, and hands-on CI/CD, IaC, and configuration management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as System Engineer/SRE/DevOps/Platform Engineer
• Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, OCI
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane
• GitOps: Flux, ArgoCD
• CI/CD pipelines with GitLab/GitHub
• Configuration management: Ansible, Saltstack
• CDN/traffic management (CloudFlare, Fastly, Akamai, AWS Route53)
• Monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana
• PostgreSQL cluster (Patroni/CNPG)
• Kafka management (Kafka/Strimzi)
• English and Russian B1+ level

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with product teams and stakeholders
• Design, deploy and manage Kubernetes platform across bare-metal and cloud providers
• Set up and maintain production and staging infrastructure
• Design and manage GitLab CI pipelines, GitOps and IaC practices
• Respond to monitoring events; participate in on-call rotations
• Optimize infrastructure maintenance and support processes
• Contribute to the design of complex IT systems
