Job summary

SOFTSWISS is seeking a Senior Systems/DevOps Engineer to join our team in Georgia, USA. You will build and maintain production and staging infrastructure, support GitLab CI pipelines, and respond to monitoring events during day/night duties.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in system engineering or SRE/DevOps, strong Linux admin skills, and experience with Kubernetes, IaC, and Kafka/Postgres. Excellent cross-team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a system engineer or SRE/DevOps.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with configuration management and IaC tools (Ansible / Saltstack / Terraform / Pulumi).
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with Kafka and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and domain management (CloudFlare/Route53).
• Experience with monitoring systems (Prometheus stack / Zabbix).
• Intermediate English (B1+) and Russian language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain infrastructure for production and staging environments.
• Support and development of GitLab CI pipelines.
• Respond to monitoring events and day/night duty rotations.
• Improve infrastructure setup and maintenance processes.
• Participate in the design of complex IT systems.
