BNC in Denver seeks a senior IT engineer to own and guide the technology stack for multiple business clients in the SMB market. You will lead consulting engagements, propose and execute projects, and drive growth while building strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, virtualization, cloud migrations, and ongoing support across Windows-based environments. You will thrive in a fast-paced team and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of consulting experience in SMB space.
• 5+ years in a senior engineer role.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies (Office365, Exchange, Azure, Entra, Intune).
• 5+ years of advanced virtualization experience (VMware).
• 5+ years of network design & optimization (enterprise-grade switches, firewalls, routers).
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Azure Admin, MCP, MCSE, CompTIA Sec+, A+, Net+) are a plus.
• Platforms/Software: MacOS, SQL, Google Workspace, RMM tools, ConnectWise.

Responsibilities

• Project management: craft timelines and deliverables, communicate with clients.
• Be consultative: identify improvements and pitch solutions from proposal to implementation.
• Serve as main IT resource for assigned Denver clients.
• Provide sound advice, acting as a trusted partner to their business.
• Support servers, networks, desktops, and laptops onsite and remotely.
• Design, implement and manage new installations and migrations.
• Lead and mentor engineers and assist onboarding new team members.
