Job summary

Optimus Technology, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer in San Antonio with hardware and lab management experience to implement, maintain, and enhance complex infrastructure systems, including hosting, virtualization, big data, cloud, and real-time environments.

You will lead system integration and design efforts, ensuring capacity, resiliency, and documentation align with requirements. Responsibilities span IT and telecom systems, site surveys, hardware installation planning, and training site

Qualifications

• Willing to travel for training and site visits.
• Dataflow experience within the last 5 years.
• Design and deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Perform system integration, administration, or network tasks.
• Develop system engineering documentation such as plans and requirements.
• Review engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze hardware specs to design components (servers, network devices).
• Conduct site surveys and document current configurations.
• Develop hardware installation schedules based on timelines.
• Train site personnel in proper use of hardware.
• Assist with IT/telecommunication system sections.
• Support simulations and throughput analyses for system engineers.
• Understand load balancing and optimize frontend/backend performance.
• Prepare MTBF and MTTR analyses.
• Support certification and accreditation processes.
• Prepare for future infrastructure management activities.
• Contribute as a senior team member on integrated product teams.
• Maintain strong client communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Incorporate new plans into ongoing operations with focus on capacity and resiliency.
• Develop technical documentation and ensure technical integrity of deliverables.
