Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks a Fellow Systems Engineer in Valencia, CA, to drive systems engineering strategy and architecture for implantable medical devices and connected cloud/mobile technologies. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams and ensure seamless hardware, firmware and software integration within highly regulated medical device systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
10+ years engineering experience; Master’s may substitute for 2 years.
5+ years in embedded systems and/or active implantable medical device experience.
Experience defining and evaluating complex system requirements and architectures.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical lead providing strategic engineering leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Define and analyze system requirements, clinical workflows, and input/output processes using Systems Engineering methods.
Drive resolution of complex system integration challenges with trade-off analysis.
Define and guide system architecture including interfaces and interactions across hardware, firmware, software and connected tech.
Establish system-level design documentation, traceability and change impact assessments.
Partner with regulatory and quality teams to support regulatory strategies and compliance activities.
Influence priorities and execution plans across engineering initiatives.
