Boston Scientific is seeking a Principal Software Engineer – Mobile Applications in a hybrid role with in-office expectation in California. You will own mobile architecture for Android and iOS, lead engineering teams, and ensure regulated software delivery across FDA design controls and IEC 62304.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 8+ years mobile app development on Android and/or iOS.
• 3+ years of technical leadership as Principal Engineer/Architect/Tech Lead.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) with cross‑platform knowledge.
• Experience with design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and SDK development.
• 2+ years in medical device software or regulated industries with IEC 62304/ISO 13485 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, development, and evolution of Android and iOS apps, including native and cross‑platform solutions.
• Drive end-to-end mobile-to-backend integration, cloud connectivity, and secure data exchange.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
• Ensure compliance with FDA design controls and platform guidelines (Apple/Android).
• Collaborate across Backend/Cloud, Firmware, UX/UI, Quality, Regulatory, Product and Program Management.
